These three lovely American ladies are leaving Shetland today after, I am assured, a most enjoyable two week holiday. I had the pleasure of spending their last afternoon with them. After lunch we went to the Shetland Textile Museum. Where else would three knitting enthusiasts (ok, fanatics) go for their last eyeful of Shetland wirsit (wool) history and up to date knitting with an expert spinning demonstration by Nancy Hunter. I know nothing about knitting but I'm continually astounded by the ever increasing new designs and colours and the skill with which they are put together in a garment. These photos don't do the Textile Museum justice so here is a link to their website: SHETLAND TEXTILE MUSEUM Thank you ladies for your friendship which I cherish. See you on your next visit to our islands. Click on single images to enlarge and press 'Play' for the slideshow.

Oh my goodness, you got some great pictures, but I wish you had cut my head off 🤣. Thanks for being a good Shetland friend, and I hope to see you in the next year or two. Meanwhile, I’ll thoroughly enjoy watching your pictures every day. Keep up the good work.

I'm glad you like the photos. I'm not good at photographing in fluorescent lighting so a bit of post processing was in order. Definitely not cutting your head off. LOL! Looking forward to following your Instagram journaling. You're always making interesting things whether for wearing or eating. 🙂
