They still squabble even though there's plenty of branches and food for all.

In complete contrast to the previous post I wasn't sure if pastels would work, especially on the chains, but it looked better than I imagined. If you like these and would care to download them as a set for wall images, cards, etc. etc. then I have made them available on Etsy. The Link to Etsy     Having taken a liking to colourful abstracts I went around the village photographing mundane subjects to add a grungy filter to and these were some of the results.  Playpark swings.  Iron railings.  Paint splodges and paint tin lid.  Ice in a puddle. We've woken up to some nice frosty coverings an various mornings. It's lovely to photograph if you can catch it in time. The sun melts it quickly even at this time of year. I took a macro shot of some moss on a wall where the frost had begun melting and the sun was shining through it.  We've had some really high tides this year so far with some boats almost sitting on top of what should be a pier. These were taken in Lerwick at the Museum on a calm-ish day.    The video below shows the high tide in a gale in which the small boat, called the 'Lively' is in danger of being broken up on her slipway. The next day I discovered she had been removed from her stationary position of many, many years. |
