The Soul of a Yoal

In Shetland there are many hand built wooden boats called yoals. These days they are used for rowing or fishing competitions or simply pleasure. They are well built and sea worthy. Like other small boats in Shetland, they can be moored off in calmer summer months, and in winter are usually hauled up far enough to escape the inclement conditions.
