The Beauty In Decay

I use Instagram. Mostly because it's fun but also there are so many talented artists whose work I enjoy following. I found a profile called 'lovelydeadcrap' and was intrigued as to what the content was. Yes, it was lovely. Yes, it was dead (mostly) but crap it wasn't. A gallery of wonderful images of decaying plants, flowers, etc. 

I loved it so much I wondered if I could find some 'crap' of my own to photograph. A short walk around Scalloway proved fruitful, to a small degree. In Shetland flowers and plants decay quickly due to the wind and sea spray.
