I missed photographing the Scalloway Fire Festival as the weather was too cold for me to go out. That was about three weeks ago and I had no idea, when I went out for a walk where the boat had been burned, that I would find the remnants of the burnt galley. I must have spent a good 45 minutes taking photos. I love abstract and textures so this was eye manna to me. So, I apologise for not bringing you exciting Vikings with fiery, paraffin laden hessian torches and a galley burning out at sea. Maybe I'll manage that another year. Slideshow: Click to play.
